CHRISTMAS CAKE
Your guests will think they are eating cherries and apple spice cake
But in fact the cherries are Sweet Spiced Pickles that you canned
Canned Christmas Pickle recipe

2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 c Sugar
1 c Oil
Tbsp vanilla
3 Eggs
Around 3 Cups Apples
1 pint Canned Christmas Pickles (recipe on this site if you don’t can try adding real maraschino cherries)
Drain canned Christmas pickle juice into 9×13 dish
Add sliced apples
Discard cinnamon stick
Sift together dry ingredients. Blend oil eggs and vanilla. Gradually stir into flour mixture.. Add Christmas Pickles
Mix well as to chop up the pickles a bit
Mixture will be thick
Spread best you can over top of apples-some apples will be on top as you spread that’s ok just makes it look homey
Bake at 325-350 about 50 minutes..
