2 c. scalded milk

1/2 c. butter

7 or 8 c. flour

1 scant tsp. salt

2 or 3 eggs

1 cake yeast

1 tsp cardamon seed 

Melt butter and dissolve sugar and salt in warm milk. When lukewarm, add yeast and beaten eggs, 1 tsp. cardamon seed. Mix in flour, work stiff dough and knead about 15 minutes. Let rise until light. Shape into rolls and bake.
