No real recipe.. each one I do turns out a little different… these I just make to fit my taste

It takes a while to get your candy the way you want it..

first start out with a saucepan on the stove  add butter and brown sugar, and some white sugar (no I don’t have any measurements to give you cause I just go by how I feel on my  hams) and a little bit of dijon mustard

I stir on medium heat with a wooden spoon .. sometimes I add in some crushed pineapple with  TINY bit  juice. or none at all… . not too much cause you want to get thick  and sticky … sometimes I add some  Honey or real molasses to it instead of the dark brown Karo syrup as long as it is one of the three your good.. .. like I said it is just what I have on hand… I use what I got.

I boil and stir constantly..  now pour some over the ham… then  you will start to pack the brown sugar onto the sticky ham… be careful not to get burnt.. I pat mine down with my hands but I am very careful cause that hot sugar will burn you up if your not careful.

I take WHITE sugar now and sprinkle over and try to pat until ham top and sides are covered…

But in oven and bake…. open oven periodically to baste with more of your mixture… take ham out and slice.. can use rest of glaze if you want on ham or keep it like this ..

here is a candied one I done with cherries and pineapple it was so good..

This one we cooked with Dr Pepper.. we decided to try it out.. it did come out very moist and succulent

Paul cutting my ham up for me

PS> Save that hambone for soup or beans… =) mmmmmmm good flavoring indeed..
