Bud’s Oatmeal cookies:

2 eggs,

1 1/2 c, lt. br. Sugar

,1/2 c. butter,

1/2 c. Crisco,

1 tsp. pure vanilla,

BEAT!

Add 1 3/4 c, King Arthur Flour

add 2 1/2 cups quick oats when you add the flour

,1 tsp.baking soda

,1tsp.baking powder,

1/2 tsp. salt,

1/2 cup chopped dates,

1/2 cup roasted chopped slivered almonds.,or pecans.

Mix well.

 

I use my med meatball scoop…put two inches apart on parchment paper.

Bake 350 degrees. 14-15 min

.Let cool on cookie sheet 3-5 min.

Make glaze

-2 Tbls butter,melted,

1 cup conf. sugar

1/2 tsp van .

Thin so you can drizzle over cookie(about 2 Tbls. water.Let dry!

 

If you use parchment between layers you can stack them in cookie jar.
