Cut fresh or frozen brussel sprouts can be used, cut them in quarters.

Pan fry about a cup of panchetta or bacon, chopped into small pieces,

Pour off all drippings except for 2 tablespoons.

Add 4 to 5 cups of brussel sprouts and 1 cup pearl onions.

Saute these for about 8 minutes ,turning often, medium heat.

Remove from heat add 1 and half cups of boiling chicken broth.

Pour in nice bowl and top with one-half cup of pomegranate seeds.

Salt and pepper to taste.

This is a good looking and tasty dish.

You will never just steam brussel sprouts again.
