(NO ALCOHOL) 

1 pkg dry yeast

1 c diced peaches

1 c crushed pineapple

1/4 c marachino cherries

1 cup sugar 

Mix together dry yeast and diced peaches, crushed pineapple, and maraschino cherries. Stir well with sugar. Let this set for a week. Use a wide mouth loose fitting gallon jug as the fruit accumulates rapidly. Next week add 1 cup sugar, one cup of any desired fruit, or a cup of drained fruit cocktail and 1/4 cup maraschino cherries.

Now the third week. Add one cup sugar a cup of fruit that was not used the last week, plus your 1/4 cup of marschio cherries. Stir well. By this time you have acquired a goodly amount of the fruit and the next week you can begin to take out some to give others as a “starter” or use on ice cream or pound cake…
