BOILED APPLE DUMPLIN’S

2 cups self rising flour

1/2 tsp cinnamon

2 (46 fluid oz cans) apple juice

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/2 cup apple juice

1 cup diced apples

in medium bowl combine flour with 1/2 cup apple juice and cinnamon. Stir until smooth. Stir in diced apple

pour all the apple juice into a 4 quart pot with tight fitting lid.

Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Drip diced apple mixture by soup spoonfuls into boiling juice

Cover and let boil 20 minutes. Do bot remove lid during cooking. After 20 minutes. Remove dumplings from pan set aside Stir cornstarch into remaining apple juice or with a little water to thin consistency in a cup and pour into pot if needed for thickening.

Serve sauce over dumplings with ice cream

makes 8 dumplings
