PEACH BREAD WITH A POPPY SEED GLAZE

2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt (optional)

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

Quart of Canned peaches drained and mashed

Poppy seed Glaze

Tbsp Poppyseeds

Cup confectionary sugar

couple tbsp milk, while mixing until mixture is thin enough to pour over bread

 

Directions:

Cream butter

 

 

 

 

 

 

and add sugar gradually.

Add eggs one at a time

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Drain your peaches well

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now mash your peaches

 

 

 

 

 

 

you should have 2 cups of Peaches. use your hands and squeeze out moisture one last time

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sift together dry ingredients.(flour, baking soda , baking powder, and salt)

add dry mix to cream mixture gradually

 

 

add peaches

 

 

 

 

 

 

pour into well greased loaf pan

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“bake in oven at 350 for 45-60 minutes” or just go according to you oven really watch it at the end you want it moist but done in the middle

Remove from oven and let stand in pan a while..

 

 

 

 

 

 

remove from pan and let cool completely.

 

 

 

 

 

Make your Poppy Seed Glaze and pour over top
