Story submitted by Lillian AsburyLillian Asbury When I was a kid, decided to make potato salad to surprise my Mom. And as a kid, I was trying to save steps. Decided to boil the potatoes and eggs in the same cooker. We had “home grown” eggs. Needless to say my Mom caught me while they were boiling. We ate the boiled eggs, but threw the potatoes out.

Lillian Asbury Guess my Mom didn’t like the idea that eggs that had been freshly gathered from nests that sometimes had poo in them from the chickens. You didn’t wash the eggs unless they were dirty.
