MASHED REFRIGERATOR  STRAWBERRY JAM

take some large ripe strawberries and add to a heavy bottomed sauce pot on stove

add a half cup granulated sugar or more (according to how many strawberries you got) add a squirt of lemon juice about two tbsp or so

cook on medium heat in saucepan about thirty minutes or more stirring occasionally as it cooks down. Mash strawberries when soft and let simmer on low till it reduces down even more. Pour into a mason jar let cool a bit and put in fridge to set up.
