Beef Pepper Steak

1/4 cup oil
1 lb round steak
1 medium onion, wedge sliced
2 bell peppers, cut into strips
2 roma tomatoes, wedge sliced
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup cold water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1-2 tablespoons garlic salt or garlic powder
½ teaspoon black pepper

Preheat oil in electric skillet to 325. Add meat and brown, once the meat is browned remove it from the pan, leave the oil in pan. Add onion, bell pepper and tomatoes, cook until tender. Dissolve the cornstarch in the water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic and pepper. Pour into skillet stirring till sauce thickens and is clear. Add browned meat and cook until heated.

Serve over white rice.
