Most everyone knows how to make mashed potatoes… but I am submitting the basics of mashed potatoes because you just never know.. maybe a college student or new bride out there somewhere needs help..

Mashed potatoes

 

Peel potatoes  (judge how many by how many people will be eating with you if a crowd then a lot of potatoes) cut up and boil in salted water until almost falling apart stage

drain salt and pepper well  whole stick butter, (1/2 stick for smaller portion)  blend with mixer and slowly add some canned evaporated milk  or half and half (don’t get to thin) blend 5 min or until smooth and creamy (depending on how much potato you want in mixture) serve as side usually with gravy dark or white
