Salmon Patties OR TROUT Patties (Usually for Breakfast)*****

I used my canned trout all the time and make these just leave out the Salmon, tastes great.. if you want to know how I can my trout I posted the recipe in the canning category

 

1 can salmon  or trout (drain off all water)

mix with a bit of self rising flour and milk

crumble a bit of  saltine crackers

mix make into patties by flattening in your palms

fry in hot vegetable oil till brown (Browns quick)

Done. Serve with gravy and biscuits

 

Variation of same recipe...

I had no saltine crackers one day and was in the midst of mixing my patties…

so I substituted the saltines for some bbq chips crumbled with my  hands…and fried the same way…  very good that way too

Can be served for breakfast …

Or dinner….

 

COMMENT  SUBMITTED BY Kenny N Tammy Wallace I use a pint drained, 1 beaten egg, 2-3 tbls chopped onion, 1/2 tsp lemon pepper, 1/4 cup cornmeal and 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup milk. Form into patties….sort of thin, like potato cakes and fry.
