Fettucini with broccoli, shrimp and Mushrooms

this one is just with shrimp

Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo

8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup (1 stick)  butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk (regular milk)

dash of pepper

and a sprinkle of parsley flakes.. not too much

8 ounces fettuccine, cooked and drained

10 ounces large mushrooms, chunked (optional)

In large saucepan, melt butter and saute garlic until almost soft. DON’T BURN GARLIC Add mushrooms and cook for about a minute.
In a saucepan, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese and milk. Stir over low heat until smooth. Add fettuccine and toss lightly.

I cook a small frozen chicken breast and slice it up and put in with my Alfredo usually…  you can also add broccoli and mushrooms.. cook your mushrooms with the butter and garlic first.. Put your frozen broccoli in the microwave and steam then add it to the sauce when you add the shrimp or chicken, towards the end..

I love the already cooked deveined shrimp.. sometimes I can get it with tail already off too

: For plain fettuccini.. just leave out the shrimp or chicken..  and serve as a side for the main dish.. like with italian chicken strips
