Grandma Dorsey’s Banana Nut Bread

2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt (optional)

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

3 bananas mashed

1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans )

Directions:

Sift together dry ingredients.

Cream butter and add sugar gradually.

Add eggs one  at a time.

Mix good

Add bananas to flour mixture

add to cream mixture gradually

mix well add nuts

pour into well greased loaf pan

Grandma Dorsey wrote “bake in oven at 350 for 45-60 minutes” mine took 50 minutes  just go according to you oven really watch it at the end you want it moist but done in the middle

Remove from oven and let stand in pan a while..

remove from pan and let cool completely.
