For a easy and delicious SEMI HOMEMADE Dessert that you can make ahead,  that your friends/kids will love, this recipe is perfect.

Serena’s Cake Bowl

Take one large package of Jello pudding mix……. pour in the dry mix with 3 cups of half and half  milk…… (reg milk works too but half and half just makes it richer and creamier)   mix till thick and put in fridge until ready to assemble cake bowl.

make up  a regular 9×13 chocolate cake, Bake it and let it completely cool.

While the cake is baking be making your caramel sauce  on stove top with double boiler.

Thick Caramel Sauce Pour  1 can of sweetened condensed milk into top of double boiler; place over boiling water. Simmer over low heat for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until thick and caramel-colored, stirring occasionally. Beat until smooth.

As you can see.. mine is not caramel colored.. it needed a good nother 30 minutes on the stove but I was going to be late for church and had to stop at this point.. it was still very thick and delicious…

Take NOW cooled cake and melt some white chocolate in microwave.. pour over cake and spread evenly over top and sides quickly and let set up.. (put in freezer will set the chocolate up faster)

now take cake out of freezer and cut some chunks off cake white chocolate side facing glass

layer over half of chocolate pudding  on top of cake

add another layer of cake same way with white chocolate facing glass

add rest of chocolate pudding

rest of cake

and pour the caramel sauce over top of cake bowl

now sprinkle heavily with crushed pecans

swirl the top with a stream of white chocolate left over in bowl

and a swirl of chocolate syrup

Enjoy!!!

Cover with Saran Wrap before putting into fridge.
