RECIPE AND PHOTO SUBMITTED BY Rosetta Sperring
Another Christmas cookie recipe (Spritz BonBons) I got from 1973 Family Circles Christmas Help magazine. A lot of my Christmas cookies are from this magazine, and I’ve been making a lof of them since.

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 cups softened butter (3 sticks)

1 cup sugar

3 egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon lemon extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 and 1/2 cups pre-sifted all-purpose flour

Assorted color sugars or sprinkles

Directions:

Beat butter, sugar and egg yolks in a large bowl at high-speed until light and fluffy.

Blend in vanilla, lemon extract and salt.  Stir in flour gradually to make a soft dough.

Fit a disk into cookie press and fill with dough.  Press onto UN-greased cookie sheets.

Sprinkle with colored  sugar or Christmas sprinkles.

Bake 375 F for 8 minutes.  Remove to a wire rack and cool.
