1/3 c soft butter
1/4 tsp powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp soda
3/4 c light brown sugar
1/2 c sour cream
1 egg
36 pitted dates
1 1/4 c sifted flour
36 walnut halves
1/2 tsp salt
icing
Cream butter and vanilla gradually beat in sugar. Add egg beat well sift dry ingredients add alternately with sour cream stuff dates with walnut halves and roll in dough when well covered drop from a fork in well buttered cookie sheet bake 400 10 min when cold spread with icing makes 3 dozen
Icing melt 2 tbsp butter blend in 1 c confectioners sugar 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tbsp cream
