GRILLED BRAZILLIAN SUGAR CRUSTED PINEAPPLE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cut off outer skins of pineapples

have a bowl with a mixture of white sugar, brown sugar and a little cinnamon mixed together

I didn’t have any of the heavy duty long grilling skewers so I made do with some smaller ones I had

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I stuck them in each side of the pineapple and I spread some white corn syrup on my pineapples.

Next generously add the sugar mixture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Put onto already heated and clean grill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MUST have some oven mitts so you don’t burn your hands the metal skewers are hot

turn your pineapples to get grill marks every few minutes. Shutting grill cover each time.

once your pineapple is grilled evenly, I took an old 9×13 pan and placed my pineapples inside the pan. And covered the pineapples well with the rest of my sugar mixture.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Close grill for 15 minutes or so.

Take out and let cool. Careful not to get burned.

Once cooled enough to handle. You cut off generous slabs of sugar crusted pineapple to serve to guests.
