WATER CHESTNUTS WRAPPED IN BACON

2 cans water chestnuts (30)

1 1b. thin sliced bacon, sliced in half  (I slice in fourths)

Wrap in bacon and secure with toothpic

bake 50 minutes on broiler  pan at 350

Sauce

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup chili sauce

Put Chestnuts in casserole and pour sauce over and bake for 20 minutes at 350

  • Patricia Stover Another one that I do (IF you like chicken livers), is to wrap each chicken liver in bacon, secure with a toothpick, and fry them. OH MY Goodness!!!

  • Patricia Stover A trick my mom taught me about frying chicken livers is to prick them all over w/ a knife first; then they won’t pop the grease on ya so bad.
