Spritz Cookies

from the kitchen of Cherie Antin Fasbinder

1 C. Butter, softened

1/2 C. Sugar

2 + 1/4 C. Flour

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 Egg

1 tsp. Almond Extract

 

Cream butter and sugar.  Blend in remaining ingredients.  Fill cookie press; form into desired shapes on ungreased baking sheet.  Bake at 400° for 6-9 minutes or until set but not brown.  (If desired, separate dough and tint different colors before pressing.)
