Plaza III is a very nice (and expensive!) restaurant in Kansas City famous for their steaks… and steak soup. Here is my recipe of their soup… personally I think mine is just a tad better than theirs :o)

Served  my Steak Soup in Serena Adkins Ellison‘s bread bowls…. big hit with the guests! Recipe for Italian Bread Bowl is also on this website.


Plaza III STEAK SOUP

3 cups water

2 carrots sliced

1 tsp pepper

1 lb. chuck or sirloin steak, cubed

2 small onion chopped

2-4 Tbsp Beef Bullion Crystals

2 stalks celery chopped

1 1lb can tomatoes chopped

1 (15 oz) can cut green beans drained

1 (15 oz) can whole kernal corn drained

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup flour

Put all but butter and flour in crock pot

Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours.. last hour turn up to hight

Mix flour and butter together and stir into soup till smooth and thick
