ORZO PARMESAN

Can sub orzo for rice  (just cook rice like normal and follow this recipe)


2 tablespoons olive oil
2 Tbsp onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cans (14 ounces) chicken broth
2 cups orzo pasta  (or can use rice)
3/4 cup grated Parmigiano Cheese
Salt
pepper
Parsley
tab butter
3 Tbsp Half Half milk
1/4- 1/3 cup of shredded Mozarella Cheese

Preheat a 8 inch pot with a tight fitting cover over moderate heat.

Add oil, onion and garlic and saute, careful not to burn garlic..

Pour chicken broth to the pan and bring to a boil.

Stir in orzo and return broth to a boil.

Cover pot and reduce heat to simmer.

Cook  until  pasta tender and liquid is almost evaporated .

. Remove lid and stir in Parmesan cheese.

Add a tab of butter

add Seasonings to your taste.

stir

add your half and half ..

stir turn off heat and sprinkle your Mozarella over top

serve up and enjoy
