Old Fashioned

White Nougat Candy

1 -11 oz bag of white chocolate chips
Two squares off of a block of white almond bark
3 Tbsp real salted butter
1 -16 oz extra value bag of mini marshmallows 2 cups of Gumdrops cut into small pieces
(3 boxes of Dots cut up will make two batches )

Can make plain or peppermint
For peppermint flavor you need a 1/2 tsp of peppermint oil at the end of your melting process and I like to use green food coloring to marble

Directions

Use double boiler (simply a sauce pan with some water and a oven proof glass bowl that fits over it and you boil the water )

add in butter , chips, and 2 white almond bark squares..slowly melt and use heavy wooden spoon.

Turn down heat add in some marshmallows, stir a little at a time will totally look like a blob
Be patient
Keep stirring on low heat
Add in marshmallows little at a time to get incorporated

Once melted and smooth you can decide if you want to add in a drop of peppermint oil or not

( Note – if doing peppermint flavored – add a couple drops or more  (according to how strong you like yours) after all marshmallows are melted and add a dab of liquid gel green food coloring stir in gumdrops and pour into lined  dish then using toothpick dipped in green food coloring make marble swirls -then spray pam on parchment paper and press down and pull back up to flatten smooth Put in fridge and let harden and cut )

Then take off stove

you should have your gumdrops already cut and ready to go

add in gumdrops

Note have a rubber spatula ready as well as a 9×9 with parchment paper over it
Spray parchment paper lightly

Have a pot holder to hold the edge of your bowl as you pour it over the parchment paper into the dish

Put in fridge to let set overnight

next morning

Cut with butter oiled pizza cutter
Make sure your pizza cutter is heavy and large
It will break those little cheap ones

Store with wax paper between layers in container in fridge until Christmas or you can individually wrap with wax paper but takes forever

lol
