LEFTOVER MASHED POTATOES?

Make Potato Soup and use them to thicken your soup… you won’t need to peel  as many potatoes and it will be nice and creamy. Also you won’t be wasting.

The Lord hates waste. Waste Not, Want not!.

Make your soup like you would regular.. only not as much potatoes will  be needed.

peel and chop up  (below is pictured my potatoes I will peel and my bowl of leftover mashed potatoes)

Put on a pot with  salted water enough to cover your peeled chunked potatoes.  (do not put in mashed potatoes yet they go in at end)

Now chop up your onion and celery and add to pot  and let boil till potatoes are softened

once the potatoes are soft you add one stick of butter and one can of cream (evaporated milk)

Stir  add salt and pepper to taste

and now you can add your mashed potatoes

now it should be nice and done..  (normally I use  Tbsp or two of cornstarch and  Tbsp of water mixed together and poured into pot to thicken but you may not need it this time, It is according on how much Mashed potatoes you used in your soup.)

Enjoy
