KENTUCKY BUTTER CAKE WITH CINNAMON SUGAR SUPRISE

 

1 cup butter

2 cups  sugar

4 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

3 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 cup buttermilk

Sugar Center

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar

Heavy sprinkle of cinnamon

Butter Glaze

⅓ cup butter

1 cup  sugar

2 tablespoons water

2 teaspoons vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325
Spray bundt pan with bakers joy or grease and flour
mix butter and sugar together add eggs one at  a time, then add vanilla
in separate bowl add flour, salt, baking powder and soda and mix with fork.
Add flour and buttermilk alternately.
Pour  half or more than half of the batter into the prepared pan  then add sugar center add rest of batter and bake for an hour, keep an eye on it as temp varies with ovens.
When the cake is done make the glaze.
For glaze mix ingredients in saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir just till the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolve and turn off.

Poke holes all over the warm cake using a knife and pour the glaze evenly on the cake while still in the pan.
Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan and then turn onto a plate. even better when it sets.
