my mother in law shared an old recipe she has had for over 45 years 

it is delicious !

JEWISH COOKIES

 



bottom layer 

1/2 lb. Oleo

1 1/4 cup sugar

pinch of salt

1 cup nuts

3 eggs

3 Tbsp. Cocoa

1 cup flour

cream together oleo and sugar . Add eggs flour cocoa and salt. Fold  in nuts. Beat well place in 9×13 pan bake 20 minutes at 350

center

2 cups coconut

1 can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk

Mix and spread on hot baked layer.

return to oven for 15 minutes.

Icing

3 Tbsp cocoa

2 cups powdered sugar

2 Tbsp salted butter

add small amount of milk until well mixed.

spread on sheet while hot.

cool and cut.
