Question…. looking for ideas to use leftover cranberry sauce – made way too much. Thought about using in thumbprint cookies, saw a recipe for making pop tarts with it, ideas for using over ice cream or mixed with yogurt. Leaning towards the thumbprint cookies but thought I’d ask my favorite cooks for ideas first!
  • Marlene Helvey Make cocktail (reg. meatballs, just smaller) meatballs. In crock pot add meatballs, @ two cups of cranberry sauce, one bottle of chili sauce and simmer.
  • Amanda Stapelberg Trent Buy ready made Puff pastry…..roll it into a round (like a pizza) slice as you would a pizza…put spoonfulls on the wide side of the slices..roll up and bake.
  • Serena Adkins Ellison Thumbprint cookies sound cool.. Can make a cobbler or pie can make a pork tenderloin and use cranberries and apples with it or just freeze it and use around Christmas
  • Serena Adkins Ellison Lovely idea Amanda
  • Tom Jubis It’s really good in a turkey sub, leftover turkey and dressing, red onion, mayo and top with cheese, wrap in foil and into the 300 oven for 20 minutes or so.
  • Jeanette Scott Cranberry cake roll sounds good
  • Joyce Anne Bacon Mix with an envelope of onion soup mix and pour over chicken in slow cooker. Delicious.
  • Cherie Antin Fasbinder Oh Joyce Anne Bacon …. that reminds me … my mom used to mix cranberry sauce, envelope of onion soup & jar of chili sauce… pour over brisket and bake – I forgot about that!
  • Cherie Antin Fasbinder Amanda Stapelberg Trent – your puff pastry sounds great!! and also Joyce Martin – love the idea of cranberry on brie!
  • Cherie Antin Fasbinder knew I could count on you all!!! What a great group Serena Adkins Ellison has assembled!!
  • Yolanda Gilbert cranberry ice cream, use it as a filling between white layer cakes, mix into pancake batter and serve with a lot of butter, thin down with a bit of wine and use as a glaze for Cornish hens or use as a “pizza” sauce and top pizza dough with it followed by mozzarella cheese, ham and pineapples. My mind never stops thinking of things to do with food. yum
  • KimnMoe Salinas Maybe make fruit roll ups or fruit chews with pectin?
  • Pamela Allen Here is one of my T-T recipes that has been used alot.

  • Cherie Antin Fasbinder Joyce Martin used your idea and made brie with the cranberry wrapped in puff pastry along with my Italian Turkey Soup for our football game today (too bad we lost!)
  • Cherie Antin Fasbinder I still have some cranberry sauce left… what do you all think about adding it to my Italian Dressing/Soy Sauce marinade for Flank Steak??
