I make a green chile stew that can either be eaten as a stew or make burritos, it’s good with either cornbread or flour tortillas.

I take about 2lbs of stew meat or round steak cubed
1 large can of whole green chiles cut into chunks
1 large onion wedged
1 can of whole tomatoes diced up not in small pieces
I put it all in a pot with the juices off the green chiles and tomatoes and add water to at least cover add garlic salt and pepper and boil it till the meat and onions are tender.

It’s wonderful on a cold day.

This is one of the recipes that you just kind of have to adjust to suit your family. I usually make it with about 5lbs of stew meat, 3 cans of green chiles and tomatoes and 3 onions and cook it in my 18qt roaster! lol what doesn’t get eaten makes wonderful leftovers but mine usually doesn’t last that long!
