Okay so I got this Duck Commander Cook Book from Miss Kay for Christmas from my Sister in law Mel.. I LOVE IT.. this is my first recipe I made for my family and it was a HIT.. very tasty..not one strip was left.. everyone was fighting over them  they were so tender and juicy on the inside and a nice crisp on the outside.

DUCK COMMANDER – WILLIE’S FAMOUS CHICKEN STRIPS

1 large egg

1/2 cup buttermilk (I was out of ALL MILK so I used  some evaporated milk mixed with Tbsp of lemon juice worked great)

1 Tbsp Duck Commander Cajun Seasoning Mild or Zesty or other  Cajun Seasoning (again I didn’t have the duck commander so I used regular Cajun Seasoning worked out fine)

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

1 cup vegetable oil

1 lb chicken tenderloins or skinless boneless chicken breasts cut crosswise into 1/2 inch wide strips

1. In small bowl wisk together the egg and buttermilk.

In another bowl, combine the flour, cajun seasoning , garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Heat the oil in the skillet to 375 on medium high heat

3. A few at a time, dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture and then in the flour mixture.

Cook for 2 minutes on each side, or till no longer pink inside.
