Okay so you guy’s know how I love to cook.. but SOMETIMES even I don’t feel like cooking.. or maybe don’t have TIME to cook anything.. Monday was one of those days.. I was SICK first of all.. had to WORK,  had a DENTIST APPOINTMENT on my lunch break  AND was committed to show up at Womens BIBLE STUDY and prayer meeting after work.. tired.. YES.

Still I have a duty to have dinner for my family so that morning I looked in my freezer and I saw a very frozen box turkey  that I had for easy days BUT it  takes normally 2 1/2 hours -3 in the oven. I thought to myself CROCKPOT ?

.. it is made for the oven but it should do very nice in the crockpot and best of  all I don’t have to worry about standing home close to the stove while it cooks I can be going about my morning. So I thought what the heck .. let’s try it.. Removed the paper top and Threw the COMPLETELY FROZEN tin into the crock pot tin and all.. cause remember it is so frozen that I can not easily remove the tin just yet.

add a half a cup of water to the bottom of the crock and put lid on. Put it on HIGH and go.

so I left it took my shower worked my morning bus route and when I got back I was able to empty out the tin… it was completely thawed and on it’s way to cooking..

I sliced it with a knife turned it onto low and was off to the dentist…

I don’t have final pics unfortunately cause I was SO BUSY that day but IT WORKED  … LOL when my hubby came home I told him to put it on warm until they served it with the baked potatoes he picked up from Wendy’s…. and I was happy cause my kids got to eat a hot meal even without mommy home to cook it. =)
