2 Cups cornmeal

1 Cup boiling water

1 Cup milk

1 teaspoon salt

1 rounded or 2 level teaspoons of Baking Powder 

Directions: 

Pour the boiling water over cornmeal and salt. Mix it well, then add the milk and beat three minutes, then add baking powder and mix lightly. Fry slowly on greased griddle in oblong shapes, or put onto well greased bake sheets by teaspoonfuls quite far apart to give plenty of room to spread.
