COCONUT CHERRY OATMEAL COOKIES

Oven: 350 degrees
Time: 10 to 12 minutes

1 1/8 CUPS REAL BUTTER, softened
1/2 CUP FIRMLY PACKED DARK BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP FIRMLY PACKED LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR 2 EGGS
1/4 TSP ALMOND EXTRACT
3/4 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
1 1/2 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP CINNAMON
1/4 TSP NUTMEG
1/2 TSP SALT
3 CUPS OLD-FASHIONED QUAKER OATS, uncooked
1 CUP RAISINS
1 CUP CHOPPED DRIED CHERRIES
1/2 CUP SHREDDED COCONUT

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and almond flavorings; blend well. Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg & salt; mix well. Stir in oats, cherries, coconut and raisins; mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack to finish cooling. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
