Chocolate Pecan Bars

from the kitchen of Cherie Antin Fasbinder

Crust:

1 + 1/2 C. Flour

1 Stick Butter

1/4 C. Brown Sugar, packed

 

Filling:

3 large Eggs

3/4 C. Corn Syrup

3/4 C. Sugar

2 Tbl. Butter, melted

1 tsp. Vanilla

1 + 3/4 C. Semi-sweet

Chocolate Chips

1 + 1/2 C. Pecans, chopped

 

Preheat oven to 350°.  Grease (or spray) 9×13 baking pan.  Mix crust ingredients in small bowl until crumbly;  press into bottom of pan.  Bake until lightly brown, approximately 5-10 minutes.   Beat eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla together.  Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.  Pour evenly over crust.  Bake 25-30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
