CHERRY CHEESE CRESCENT  BITES

filling

2 pkgs cream cheese

1  1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp vanilla

3 tubes crescent rolls

1 pint of canned pitted cherries cut into halves or chunks

glaze
confectionary sugar

milk

directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

spread 1  1/2  tube rolls in a sprayed cookie sheet, pinch seams together (don’t try and fit the cookie sheet, your rectangle will be smaller)

mix your cheese cheese sugar and vanilla and spread over the bottom layer

cut your cherries, I’m using home canned,

Just push them in the filling all over the rectangle.

put last tube  and 1/2 of crescent roll dough over top  pinching seems best you can

bake till light brown, careful not to over-bake.

Make glaze pour over while hot

let your pastry completely cool

the longer it sets up the better it tastes

Try not to cut it until it sets up so the filling won’t ooze out

cut and enjoy
