Apple Smothered Chops

A simple recipe of fried pork chops in a cast iron skillet
The apples and walnuts are cooked in the pork renderings with butter
And then made into a syrup with a walnut and cinnamon sugar mixture
Pour over the chops and serve

First prepare a bowl of thinly sliced apples about 4 apples will do
In a separate bowl add a Tbsp or two of white sugar, a 1/2 cup to a cup of brown sugar .. a Tbsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp salt mix together add in some chopped pecans or walnuts

Family pack of pork chops – mine are bone in
10inch cast iron skillet
Butter
Salt and pepper lightly

In cast iron skillet heat and add some butter .. fry your pork chops 3 at a time l, have a casserole dish waiting to place chips in after done
Once all chops are done

Add more butter to pan and add all apples
Stir as they heat in the butter and pork renderings
As they start to soften go ahead and pour over the sugar and walnut mixture
Add more butter and stir
Careful not to let the syrup burn
Keep stirring and cooking down until your satisfied

Pour Over top your Chops

Serve and enjoy
