Comforting Amish Oatmeal Pie that tastes remarkably like pecan pie. Brown sugar gives a deep, rich flavor to this sweet, simple pie that is a favorite Amish recipe.


3 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 cup pourable Domino light brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2/3 cup old fashioned rolled oats
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 single unbaked pie shell
Ice cream, optional

In a medium bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients and mix well.
Pour into an unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until the pie is cooked through.
Serve warm with ice cream.
