Stumped my toe with the salt and sugar whole making homemake macaroni and tomatoes. Had to drop a couple big potatoes in there to clean up my mess. Will remove before serving. 🙂 good cooks alway need back up plans lol
Homemade macaroni and tomatoes

Add to stock pot
1 quart home canned tomatoes
1 lg onion chopped small
1 tbs meat grease (bacon grease)
1 tsp sugar
1/2 stick butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil until onions are tender

Add 2 cups elbow macaroni and simmer till noddles are tender. Stir frequently. Continue to cook for 20 minutes. Add chicken broth if needed to keep a little liquid in.
Sooo yummy on a cold night with fried cornbread. God bless, Carol Sue
