SERENA’S PAN FRIED BBQ BEAR

there are many ways to fix bear meat.. many like to slow roast  or marinate as bear can be tough..(according to how old your bear is)  Today I decided to pan fry my bear tossing our favorite BBQ Sauce (Bullseye Original) at the end

We started out with a tenderloin… and trimmed off the fat..

Then slice it AGAINST the grain…  and use your meat tenderizer (I used a Jaccard)

Get you a bowl with self rising flour.. dredge your meat into the flour.. shake off

and put into large hot  frying pan, small amount of veg oil. Sear the meat… and turn down heat some.. you will shake garlic powder, pepper and salt over meat.

let it fry and I actually took a hand potato masher and tenderized some more as it cooked in  the pan..  you don’t want to overcook it though cause you want it tender.. done  but tender if that makes sense.. LOL

next you will take about 3 tbsp of cornstarch and mix with water then pour into hot pan.. stir stir stir to make a sort of pan gravy with drippings  at this point you could put in some sliced onions if you desire.. I didn’t this time. (OPTIONAL)

NOW take out your meat and you could eat as is if you wanted

but I wanted BBQ.. as I think bear is lacking that extra oommph that I get in my deer meat LOL!

I used my favorite bbq sauce (Bullseye Original)  to toss the meat in and put in oven for 5 minutes.

I served it up with some Spicy Italian Potatoes, noodles, and Canned Garden Green Beans.

We really enjoyed our meal… Next time I think we will do Roasted Bear with Apple =)
