Antique Recipe ( this is so good)

3/4 lb ground beef (I used pound ground CHUCK)

1 med onion diced

1 garlic clove minced

1 small can tomato paste ( I didn’t have a small so I used a HALF of a reg can tomato paste)

1 quart canned tomatoes

3/4 cup macaroni ( I didn’t have macaroni but I had some small shells)

salt and pepper to taste with a sprinkle of sugar if desired

brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet or pot. drain grease


Add tomatoes

add tomatoes paste  stir well and cook


add shells and simmer with lid on


(I added a 1/3 cup water and added the shells then put on to simmer)

It should come out very saucy and thick … delicious..

Salt and Pepper, taste it and if you think it needs it, add a pinch of sugar

Serve with your favorite side veg like green beans or corn on the cob with  hot biscuits or corn bread
