FRUIT AND NUT DROPS from Patricia Stover

3 cups seedless raisins

1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp cloves

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 lb of pecan halves

1 lb. red candied cherries (whole)

1 1/4 cups green candied cherries (whole)

1/2 cup burbon (can use rum instead) (Apple Jack brand is best); it just gives them a different taste.)

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 cup oleo (use real unsalted butter instead)

2 eggs

  • Directions

Put Raisins in bowl and add burbon.

Mix and let stand 1 hour.

Sift dry ingredients in separate bowl

Cream Butter Sugar and add in your eggs

Beat in flour mixture. Stir in raisins & fruit

make sure to use all burbon left from raisins

Drop from tsp onto greased cookie sheet ( I use parchment Paper)

Make sure to get one cherry and one nut in each cookie

bake at 375  for 15 minutes or till firm
