The Caterpillar we had for our VBS tonight.. Fun Idea. A bunch of us ladies brought cupcakes of any kind we chose and then Myra and her Aunt Susie made the head and we just assembled it on the table.. easy to serve and fun for the kids bug theme. I made three butterflies to go around the caterpillar.. this was the first time I ever made butterflies so they weren’t all that neat but they were cute for a first timer..

I found the small heart tins were the BEST and easiest way to make butterflies.. you will need five of them.. 4 for the wings

and a slice of one for the body

now I just used a bug mold, melted some white chocolate and used the bug as my middle for the butterfly

wasn’t long enough so just used another one and cut off the head worked great, by the time you ice it you won’t even notice the body is halved..

for the other buterflies I used rounds

just carve free hand until you get the shapes you desire and dirty ice a thin layer then put in the FREEZER to firm up before icing and decorating..

52 cupcakes packed and ready to go to VBS to make the caterpillar
