How to shape homemade Farfalle Pasta

Farfalle are eaten with the same sauces as tagliatelle. Children especially love them calling them “bow tie pasta”

To make them use a fluted pastry wheel to cut the dough into 2-inch squares (can make them larger if desire)

with the forefinger and thumb of one hand , pinch each square across the middle to make an even fold. Thus creating a butterfly or bow tie effect.

line up and let dry
