1/4 c unsalted butter room temp, and some to grease pan

Pie Crust

1 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs slightly beaten

3/4 cup corn syrup

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/8 tsp salt

2 cups chopped pecans 

preheat oven to 350. lightly butter 9 inch pie pan roll out pastry dough and fit into pan. Place sugar and butter in bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment and beat until fluffy 8-10 minutes. Add eggs beat well. Add the corn syrup vanilla and salt

remove bowl from mixer and stir in pecans.

pour filling into unbaked pie shell. bake 40 to 45 minutes or till pie is nice and brown on top. Remove pie from oven to a cooling rack and cool completely before serving
