BLACK IRON SKILLET GOOEY FUDGE BROWNIE PIE

 

1 cup granulated sugar

3 Tbsp shortening ( Not butter)

Dash of salt

3 1/2  tsp plain flour

2 beaten eggs

3 Tbsp cocoa

1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

mix sugar

 

 

 

 

shortening

 

 

 

 

salt

 

 

 

 

flour

 

 

 

 

and beaten eggs

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

mix well

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

add cocoa and vanilla

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

mix

 

 

 

 

using rubber spatula, pour into a greased cast iron skillet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bake about 20 minutes more or less, depending on the size of your skillet.. I am using a number 7 today.

 

 

 

 

Fudge will be done when the entire top is crusty.

 

 

 

 

set on wooden board for about 3 minutes..

 

 

 

 

 

 

then add about 3 Tbsp or so of Marshmallow Cream..spread over warm brownie pie gently

 

 

 

 

 

.. cut pie and let cool a little more.. it will be  thin and gooey but done. with a crisp top….

 

 

 

 

 

enjoy warm with a spooon and  ice cream if you wish or some hershey’s chocolate syrup .  =) NOTE if you wish for a thicker consistency add  a tbsp more of flour  to batter when making, and use a much smaller cast iron pan.
