I brushed melted butter on the loaves also. As you can see, I made 3 loaves, 2 for work and I’m splitting the last loaf between Neil and myself and a neighbor. It gets thumbs up from me! Butterscotch Nut Bread  

1 Loaf

1 Egg
1 cup Brown Sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp Butter, melted
2 cups Flour, sifted
3/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
1 cup Buttermilk
1/2 cup Nuts, chopped

Beat egg. Add sugar gradually, continuing to beat. Add butter
And blend. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.. Blend
Until well mixed. Add nuts. Pour into greased 8-1/2 x 2-3/4 loaf pan.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour
