Winter time is here and it is the BEST time to enjoy all your hard labor  you put in from your garden over the summer and fall. Pull out some of those  beautiful home canned tomatoes and enjoy a hearty meal when you make  my Chunky Tomato Marinara

 

Serena’s Chunky Tomato Marinara

 

2 quarts of canned Tomatoes (Use Roma if you have them)

1 can Hunts tomato Paste

Pour in large pan or pot

bring to a low steady boil, turn down a bit and use whisk to blend

 

about 4-5 cloves Fresh Garlic, smashed, peeled and minced

 

parsley flakes

oregano

basil

Crushed Red Pepper Flakes.. so easy at first and wait till end may have to add more after you taste sauce

Pepper

Salt

parmesan cheese

sugar (sometimes wont have to use, taste your sauce first cause it is according to the sweetness of the tomato your using if you need this or not)

Boil water add in a tbsp. of oil and a pinch of  salt

once boiling add :

1 cup macaroni

handful of spaghetti

 

Boil till aldente and  drain, then pour over top of your chunky tomato sauce, shake parmesan cheese and pepper over top before folding into the sauce…

Ladle into bowl and enjoy
