1 lb of pasta (I used Barilla penne pasta)

1 lb of ground meat (beef, pork, chicken or turkey) I used a mixture of beef and pork.

¾ cup green bell peppers – diced small

¾ cup onion – diced small

4 cloves garlic – minced

2 tbsp olive oil

Pinch of salt, black pepper and Italian seasoning (add according to your taste)

Spaghetti sauce (I used Giada DeLaurentiis tomato & basil sauce sold at Target)

1 ½ cup shredded Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese

Pre-heat oven 350° Cook ground meat, drain oil if any and set aside. Heat saute pan on medium- low to medium heat and add olive oil. Then add green bell peppers, onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook till vegetables soften. Add spaghetti sauce, cooked ground meat and Italian seasoning to vegetable mixture and simmer on medium-low heat. Next cook pasta al dente according to directions on package. Drain pasta and add to sauce mixture and mix thoroughly. Transfer pasta mixture to a pan and sprinkle the cheese on top of it. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
