3 Bean Turkey Chili.

 

I always double this recipe when making it. 1 lb lean ground turkey. 1 small onion, diced. 1 small green pepper, diced. 1 (8oz) can of tomato sauce (I use the kind already garlic seasoned). 2 (15 oz) cans of diced tomatoes ( I use the kind already seasoned for chili ). 1 (4oz) can of diced mild green chilis. 1 (15oz) can of light kidney beans (rinsed and drained). 1 (15oz) can of black beans (rinsed and drained). 1 can of chili beans (undrained). 2 tbs of chili powder. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook turkey, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. I do not drain the meat since turkey hardly has any fat. Combine all ingredients together in large stewing pot. I always add a cup or two of water depending on how long I am going to let it simmer. Cook on low/medium low, stirring occasionally. Chow down. Burp. Then take a nap :))))) Bon Appetite!
