    • Gerri N Mitchell Fox Fried… 1/2 stick of butter melted in a frying pan, add chopped cabbage, salt and pepper to taste, cook in med high to high. Stir frequently so it doesn’t burn… Cook until part of it starts to turn brown. Yum. The most unhealthy way to cook it.

Spicy cabbage soup. 8 cups of water, 1/2 head of cabbage chopped, 1 can rotel tomatoes wit green chili’s, 1 onion chopped, 1/2 oh a bunch of celery chopped. Throw it in a soup pot bring to a boil, salt and pepper to taste, after veggies soften add 8 oz of velveta cheese cubed. You can also add sausage if you like meat in it.

Hi Liz! I love to make stuffed cabbage rolls.I just looked up the rec on line that is closest to how I make mine and it is called Mrs. Galumpkis stuffed cabbage rolls. I use Brown rice , beef and pork and garlic powder, salt and pepper. I use organic veggie juice and a little picorino Romano, grated cheese- and I bake mine. Also, I Cut a head of cabbage in wedges then put a white sauce over the wedges. Fry bacon crispy and sprinkle over sauce. Delish!

I make cabbage with Italian turkey sausage and onion. I fry my onion (diced)and sausage (crumbled). After cooked put in bowl, deglaze the pan with a little chicken broth. Add the cooked turkey and onion back to pan, add cabbage and enough broth to cook cabbage til tender but not limp.
    • Taste good with homemade cornbread made in a cast iron skillet.

    • Rina Castillo Trochman My favorite way to eat cabbage is smothered. You take 3 bacon strips and fry them up crispy. Remove bacon add cut cabbage. Add 1/4 cup chicken stock. 1 teaspoon all purpose or creole seasoning. Salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the cabbage is wilted then stir in the bacon pieces. OH MY!!!!
